Role:
We are looking for Postgres consultants who can support our engineering teams in making best use of Postgres managed databases on Azure. Consult them in application development and performance optimization. The candidate is also expected to review and own Postgres configuration parameters to support the requirements of the microservices.
Goals:
Providing support to the engineering teams
Reacting to support requests (Incident Tickets)
Troubleshooting incidents
Proactive monitoring of Postgres DBs
Providing guidance on best usage of Postgres
Operationalization
Establish an operations concept for the Postgres infrastructure on Azure
Transfer standard operational tasks by providing runbooks to level 2 teams
Providing support to the infrastructure teamSupport migration (Migration PostgreSQL 11 Single Server to PostgreSQL 14 Flexible Server V14)
Review DR concept
Behavior and Skills
Having strong conceptual and practical knowledge of Postgres, understanding software development lifecycle.
Hands on experience with PostgreSQL 11 or PostgreSQL 14 on Azure
Specialist in Performance tuning and optimising PostgreSQL queries
8+ years of experience
Understanding of Kafka is a benefit.
Strong communication skills.

Salary: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
