ENGLISH VERSION

We are looking for a passionate and responsible pottery instructor to join our team for a short course (4–6 sessions). The ideal candidate can guide students from concept to creation with clarity and patience, while offering a well-structured class experience that helps students witness their works come to life—step by step.

We value a teaching approach that combines both theory and hands-on practice, helping students not only learn how to create, but also understand why each step matters. Our goal is for students to gain practical skills and a deeper awareness of the creative process through structured and supportive instruction.

Responsibilities

Teach beginner-level pottery techniques (wheel throwing and/or hand-building)
Create a clear course framework to support students in completing a full ceramic piece over the sessions
Offer guidance and encouragement to learners of all skill levels
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Communicate thoughtfully with students and respond to their questions
Qualifications

Proficient in ceramic arts (wheel and/or hand-building)
Previous teaching or facilitation experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Well-organized and dependable
Bilingual (English and French) preferred

Nous recherchons un·e professeur·e de céramique passionné·e et sérieux·se pour animer un atelier de 4 à 6 séances. La personne idéale saura guider les élèves de l’idée à la création, tout en proposant une structure claire pour que chacun·e voie sa pièce évoluer au fil des cours.

Nous privilégions une approche pédagogique qui allie théorie et pratique. Il est important pour nous que les élèves comprennent non seulement comment créer, mais aussi pourquoi chaque étape est essentielle. L’objectif est qu’ils développent à la fois des compétences techniques et une réelle compréhension du processus créatif, dans un cadre structuré et bienveillant.

Responsabilités

Enseigner les techniques de base (tournage et/ou modelage) aux débutant·e·s
Concevoir un cadre pédagogique clair permettant la réalisation complète d’une œuvre
Accompagner les élèves avec bienveillance, clarté et engagement
Assurer un espace de travail propre, sécuritaire et agréable
Répondre aux questions des élèves avec attention
Qualifications

Solide pratique de la céramique (tournage et/ou modelage)
Expérience d’enseignement ou d’animation d’atelier
Aisance relationnelle et sens de la pédagogie
Bonne organisation et fiabilité
Bilingue (français et anglais) fortement recommandé
