Job Description
We have a short term contract available for a Power BI App Developer who has experience of automating manual business system processes by developing an app to replace the paper based system. My client is a fantastic company to work for and they URGENTLY require someone who can take a specification from a non tech person and translate to a technical solution.
Purpose of the Job
• Gather and understand business requirements and develop creative solutions to maintain data files and visibility;
• Translate business needs into technical specifications.
Main assignments
• Documenting business requirements, solutioning & developing technical systems/reporting;
• Data integration and analysis from a variety of sources;
• Documenting processes and creating training materials to present to relevant users;
• Identifying opportunities for new reporting to support client objectives;
Context and main issues
• Maintenance and development of SharePoint lists and workflows;
• Maintenance and development of bespoke PowerBI reports;
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues reported by end users;
Accountabilities
• To develop Best in Class data analytics solutions are delivered for the client;
• Understand and improve data collection and management across the account;
• Ensure standard reporting supports governance and drives decision making;
• Creating ways of working across numerous systems to allow for seamless and efficient working practices;
• Support to SME or service teams for project and specialist work;
• Maintain and support a culture of compliance, ethics and integrity.

Job profile
• Client business language is English - therefore must have excellent oral and written English;
• Strong Business Knowledge in order to identify relevant insights from which to create meaningful knowledge;
• Strong Technical Skills - particularly understanding data models and use of BI tools such as Power BI;
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders;
• Ability to analyse complex data and make decisions;
• Strong organisational skills and ability to plan and manage complex projects;
• Relevant experience within a similar role where gathering, manipulating and analysing data was essential (performance analytics);
• Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills;
• Track record of engaging with experienced operators
