Roles & Responsibilities :
• Expert engineering and decision-making skills on MS Power BI Cloud (Pro and Premium).
• Minimum 8 years of extensive experience in data engineering focused primarily on analytics and visualization.
• Having experience of migration Power BI migration of Report Server (On Prem) to Power BI Premium (On Cloud).
• This role also includes creation of the strategy and plan of the migration
• Being involved in the discovery phase and identify all the reports, users and other stakeholders
• Should also have exceptional communication skills as they will be expected to drive the change with multiple report creators who in turn are our customers.
There are approx.. 2000 reports that need to b e migrated)
• The also are expected to help finalize our Power BI Premium landscape by reviewing and improving the Tenant Gateway, Monitoring and in general operations and administration of the platform.• Experience migrating reports from PBI Repor t Server to PBI Service. Preferably leading at least 1 such migration.
• Expertise in Power BI data modeling
• Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop. # Extensive experience on DAX.
• Expertise in connecting various data sources (both on-prem and cloud), importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence.
• Implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
• Experience in ad vanced-level calculations on the data set.
• Should have experience providing support and consultancy directly to customers # Experience in guiding team members, creating designs and solutions using best practices.
• Communication skills must be abl e to discuss the requirements effectively with Stakeholders and teams.
• Develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards.
• Analyzing and optimizing slow performing reports Data Models
• Analytical, reasoning, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience integrating Power BI with a Data Catalog
• Good experience in other Data Engineering practices required to deliver an end-to-end solution : ADLS, Synapse, Databricks etc
