We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer to join our growing team in Bangalore. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing reports and dashboards using Power BI. They will work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and build new data models and semantic layers to support these requirements. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for administering row level security to ensure that data is kept secure and confidential.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the company's Power BI infrastructure, including developing the semantic layer & building new data models for reporting needs.
• Design and develop reports and dashboards using Power BI
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
• Administer row level security to ensure data is kept secure and confidential.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends and patterns.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with reports and dashboards.
• Optimize report performance and maintain the integrity of the data.
• Implement data governance policies and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data models, dashboards, and reports.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in Power BI.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development
• Proven experience in building new data models and semantic layers.
• Strong understanding of data visualization and report design principles
• Experience with administering row level security
• Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
