Job Description
Works on power converter/power electronics design for spacecraft units.
Requires experience in DC/DC converter design, stability analysis, PCB design, and filter design.
On-site required, especially for testing. If remote, may be assigned analysis work.
Controlled Goods clearance required.
Key tools: LTSpice, PSpice, Siemens Expedition (or similar).
Nice to have: Worst-case analysis, FMECA, Monte Carlo simulation, part stress/reliability analysis, radiation effects knowledge.
Electronic Power System Engineer – Hybrid/Remote Possible
Bridges system design and detailed power electronics.
Manages subcontractors (batteries, BMS, solar arrays). Acts as Technical Authority for subcontracted units.
Performs power budget and transient analysis at a system level.
Requires strong organizational skills to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
Hybrid or remote possible. On-site presence is preferred but not mandatory.
Job Details & Requirements:
Preference for permanent hires (contract-to-perm possible).
Start remote, then transition to on-site (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday).
French is NOT required – internal/customer documents & meetings are in English.
Controlled Goods clearance mandatory.
Urgent hiring need – fast interview process.
Work location: Can be outside Quebec, but on-site is preferred (especially for EPC Designer).
