PowerShell Developer
Join Our Team of Talented PowerShell Developers!
Mott MacDonald is seeking a skilled and experienced PowerShell developer to join our team. As part of our focus on digital innovation, we are looking for someone with a passion for automation and a strong understanding of PowerShell to help us optimize our processes and drive operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain automated scripts and solutions using PowerShell
• Work with business analysts to understand requirements and design processes to deliver required automation
• Peer-review scripts developed by the team
• Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to define, analyse, understand, and document technical requirements
• Debug and troubleshoot complex problems related to automation and scripting
Requirements
• Strong understanding of PowerShell, including experience coding solutions and code management with Git, using branches and pull requests
• Ability to work effectively with data and databases, including experience with SQL Server and T-SQL
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Candidate Specification
Desired Skills
• University degree or diploma in the field of IT, Mathematics, Engineering, or Science, or relevant equivalent work experience
• Hands-on experience with Pester, a PowerShell testing framework
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services
• Familiarity with compiled languages such as C# or Java
• Knowledge of database security procedures and protocols
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies
