Role Description
This is a hands-on Practice Manager opportunity suited to someone who brings positive energy, thrives in a busy environment, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the practice, supporting both patients and staff while contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of systems and workflows. The role will initially operate in a hybrid capacity and is expected to transition to a fully in-person position as the business expands into its new office in Deakin.
Duties
Support the management team with reporting and daily operations
Manage the front desk including creating a positive and welcoming environment
Oversee appointment scheduling and patient flow
Manage billing processes (Medicare, DVA, and TRN-based invoicing)
Monitor outstanding accounts and support debt collection processes
Ensure privacy, accuracy, and quality of patient records
Liaise with external providers to ensure the practice runs efficiently
Oversee clinical audits, recalls, and reminders
Support strategic planning and the improvement of systems and workflows to achieve the practice's goals

Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience in a medical practice management or senior
administrative role
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise and
manage competing demands
Proficient in using relevant software (Zanda highly desirable)
Strong understanding of general practice billing, including Medicare
Demonstrated experience with DVA billing processes
Exceptional customer service orientation and the ability to provide a positive patient experience
Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and manage a team
Demonstrated ability to manage and improve systems and workflows
Suited to someone who:
Understands the Defence and/or is part of the veteran community
Takes initiative and works proactively without constant direction
Enjoys working closely with both patients and staff
Values collaboration and teamwork
Leads with empathy and professionalism
