Job Description
As a Practice Nurse, you will work closely with our GPs and medical team to provide high-quality patient care in a busy GP clinic environment. Strong computer skills are essential, and knowledge of Best Practice software is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Childhood Immunisations & Vaccinations
Cold Chain Management and Vaccine Fridge Management
Ordering and Restocking Vaccines
Health Assessments & Care Plan Development
Wound Management & Dressings
Cervical Screening Tests (CST), including self-collection CST
ECGs
Ear Syringing
Implementing and Supervising Infection Control Policies & Protocols
Ordering and Maintenance of Clinical Supplies
Maintenance of Clinical Equipment Registers
Assisting with Observations, Emergencies, and Clinical Triaging
Excellent Organisational & Time Management Skills
Strong Interpersonal Skills to Engage with Patients of All Ages and Ethnicities
Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team
Flexibility to Assist with Holiday Relief
Qualifications & Requirements:
Current AHPRA Registration
Previous General Practice experience preferred
Strong Computer Skills
Immunisation Certificate required
Well Women’s Health Check (CST) Certificate required
Current CPR Certificate
Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
Remuneration:
Hourly Rate: $30-$40 per hour (as per AMA Award or above, depending on experience and qualifications)
