The purpose of this job is…..

As the Practice Optimisation and Support Manager strengthens operational performance across the Medical Centres network by redesigning key processes, reducing friction, and embedding consistent ways of working. The role improves how clinics, GPs and Support Office teams operate day-to-day, ensuring systems, workflows and standards support efficient, reliable and high-quality care delivery.

Responsibilities include:

Partner with Operational Leadership to analyse and assess current Practice operations and systems, identifying areas for improvement and streamlining workflows.
Identify bottlenecks using data and frontline insights, and implement practical solutions that streamline daily work.
Lead process improvement initiatives using suitable methodologies to optimise Practice processes, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance patient care and GP experience.
Create and execute change management plans, including communication, training and stakeholder engagement, to support adoption of new processes.
Deliver operational uplift initiatives, including improvements to GP onboarding, Practice Manager workflows
Standardise workflows and embed clear operational practices across the network to lift reliability and reduce unwanted outcomes.
Set clear project goals, timelines and resources to ensure successful delivery of improvement initiatives (omit budgets if this is not a core expectation of the role).
Work closely with practice teams and cross-functional partners to ensure improvements are usable, sustainable and aligned to operational goals.
Use KPIs, operational data and feedback to monitor performance, evaluate the impact of changes and guide future improvement priorities.
Develop simple tools, reporting and standards that help clinics and GPs work more effectively.
Design and facilitate training and coaching for Practice-based team members and leaders to build capability and support a culture of continuous improvement.
What you’ll need to make it possible

Experience in, project management, process improvement, or change management, preferably in a primary care setting.
Previous experience successfully managing cross-functional teams and multiple projects or change initiatives is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of primary care operations and local healthcare industry standards.
Proficient in project management and change management techniques.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
Ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Skilled in using relevant software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Lyrebird, Best Practice, HotDoc/AutoMed).
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
