ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Premium Membership Sales Officer assists in maximising the revenue and profit from our Reserved Seat and Premium Bay products while providing an excellent quality of service that exceeds members’ expectations. The role involves enhancing engagement of members holding a reserved seat or premium bay membership as well as actively promoting match day attendance and seat returns where applicable.

The Premium Membership Sales Officer works with the Membership Sales team in ensuring the very best service is delivered to create memorable customer experiences whilst building the strongest possible emotional connection with our members. They assist with managing the communications to our reserved seat and premium bay members including sales, upgrades, waiting list, attendance, and nurture-related campaigns.

The Premium Membership Sales Officer assists in the account management of our important Grand Final Guarantee packages including Maurice Rioli Club Social Club, Premiership Circle and 3121 Premium Membership categories and ensures the smooth operation of their events on a match day in conjunction with our Events team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maximise Reserved Seat Membership Sales: Assisting in relentlessly growing our reserved seating categories, supporting the creation of sales plans and retention strategies, pursuing additional revenue sources through membership product and development and continuously identifying leads for the Premium Sales and Corporate Sales teams.

2. Account Management and Match Day execution: Provide exceptional customer service and account management for various membership categories, collaborate on communications, identify opportunities to enhance the member experience, ensure smooth operations of the Maurice Rioli Club on MCG Game Days, and represent the Richmond Football Club by offering support and service on Match Days.

3. Maximise Reserved Seat member attendance at games: Work with the Membership Sales Manager and Premium Sales & Account Officer to increase reserved seat attendance through tailored offers, data-driven strategies, and reporting, while also supporting operational improvements and seat return processes with the Consumer Operations Manager and external partners.

4. Wider Membership Sales Responsibilities: Support a culture of excellent customer service and strong supporter connections, assist with onboarding staff training and coaching, handle escalated member complaints, and help manage membership inquiries during busy periods.

5. General responsibilities: Process new memberships and renewals in the CRM, accurately maintain member data in compliance with privacy laws, and assist with tasks as directed by the Head of Membership or GM of Consumer Business.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

1. Experience in a sales / marketing /account management related role

2. A commitment to customer service and service delivery to clients

3. Proven negotiation, interpersonal and relationship management skills

4. High level of planning and time management skills and demonstrated ability to effectively manage varied and multiple projects with conflicting demands to agreed standards and timelines

5. Computing skills with specific knowledge of customer relationship database software, MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

6. Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline is desirable but not essential
