Job Description
Presents menus and suggests cocktails or daily specials to enhance the dining experience.
• Exhibits knowledge of all items on the menu and wine list to provide recommendations and answer questions.
• Takes orders and prepares them for presentation to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Replenishes water and makes and pours coffee for customers throughout their dining experience.
• Clears tables using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware, and silverware.
• Processes customer restaurant bills promptly and accurately.
• Cleans tables, chairs, and floor area to maintain a clean and inviting environment.
• Polishes silverware and folds linen to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Checks the overall condition of the dining room to ensure it is ready for customers.
• Assists the service team as needed to meet or exceed guest expectations.
• Logs information and reads reservations at the beginning of each shift.
• Possesses a valid liquor card at all times.
• Aquires a working knowledge of hotel facilities and local information to respond to customer questions.
• Promotes other services offered by the hotel to enhance the guest experience.
• Informs supervisor/manager of any customer dissatisfaction.
• Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
