Job Description:

Are you passionate about child development and eager to inspire and empower parents and caregivers to build enriching playdate experiences for children? We're seeking an experienced Child Development Team Lead for a part-time, in-person role during weekends for conducting playdates, supplemented with remote work to provide guidance and support.

Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation and Guidance:
- Create original playdate activities and provide your expertise on child psychology.
- Guide and mentor intern students in understanding child development principles and designing effective activities.
- Collaborate with the team to develop detailed activity descriptions, emphasizing long-term benefits for child development.

2. Quality Assurance, Feedback, and Leadership:
- Ensure quality of playdate activities, maintaining high standards of safety and inclusivity.
- Assess and evaluate the accuracy for child development aspects of activities, providing constructive feedback to interns.
- Maintain open communication and share feedback to help interns refine their skills and approaches

3. Playdate Facilitation and Availability:
- Lead and facilitate playdates during weekends and some weekday evenings (enough prior notice will be given), creating engaging experiences for children.
- Ensure activities align with developmental goals and safety measures, maintain and build relationships with parents and children on the playdate.

Qualifications:

- A degree in child development, psychology, education, or a related field.
- Previous experience (2+ years) in child development, educational facilitation / as a preschool / school teacher for young children
- Leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team.
- Strong understanding of child safety and developmentally appropriate content.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for both in-person and remote settings.
- Availability for part-time, in-person weekend work, and flexibility for weekday evenings when needed.
