Job Description
This position is perfect for education majors or individuals pursuing a career in teaching. A teaching certificate is not required.
Required Schedule:
Mondays: 8:45 AM – 12:45 PM
Wednesdays: 8:45 AM – 12:45 PM
Thursdays: 3:15 PM – 6:30 PM
Fridays: 8:45 AM – 1:00 PM
Possible additional hours available as needed
Responsibilities:
Lead preschool classes with engaging, age-appropriate, play-based activities.
Create a warm, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
Supervise and collaborate with assistant teacher.
Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth.
Communicate professionally and positively with parents and caregivers.
Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety.
Desk Responsibilities:
This position includes occasional desk work such as welcoming families, helping with check-ins, answering phones, and assisting with day-to-day tasks when classes are not in session.
Qualifications:
Experience working with young children required.
Must genuinely enjoy working with children and creating positive learning experiences.
Reliable, energetic, and patient.
Able to commit to the position for at least six months.
Open to working occasional weekends for birthday parties and special events.
Able to lift up to 30 lbs and actively participate in classroom activities.
Pay & Training:
Training is paid at $15/hour, with an increase to $17/hour upon completion of training and transition into the Lead Teacher role.
