The Opportunity
We are seeking a temporary, full-time Preschool/Pre-Primary Educator to cover a maternity leave starting August 21, 2026. The ideal candidate is experienced, innovative, and passionate about early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and instruct engaging lessons across all curriculum areas.
Foster creativity through storytelling, music, drama, visual arts, and physical activity.
Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student learning styles and interests.
Build strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and parents.
Communicate professionally and compassionately with children and families.
Maintain a warm, patient, and supportive classroom environment.
Qualifications
Level 2 or 3 Early Childhood Education Diploma.
Current First Aid and CPR “C” certification.
Child Abuse Register Certificate.
Strong understanding of early learning pedagogy, including planning, implementation, and assessment.
A variety of teaching strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
Energetic, collaborative, and committed to professional growth.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Willingness to engage in co-curricular programs and the broader school community.
Experience in an independent school setting is considered an advantage.
