Full job description
Position Vacant: Press Brake Operator
At our Meadowbrook Facility in Brisbane, QLD.
Full-time – 38 hours per week – early knock-off Friday
$30 – $40 per hour plus applicable shift loadings
Applicants interstate or looking to relocate in the new year are encouraged to apply in this round.
The successful candidate will likely have:
Proven history in sheetmetal air bending/folding (TRUMPF experience highly regarded)
Experience folding mild steels, aluminium, and stainless materials
Diverse experience interpreting technical drawings and troubleshooting bending programs
Although most bending is validated and programmed by our Press Coordinator in TruTops Boost, the ability to create and improve upon press programs at the machine will be advantageous
History as a reliable and committed member of a team and effective communication sills
Excellent attention to detail and an attitude conducive to excellence in Quality Control
Working knowledge of production process including job clocking, NCR/quality, basic ERP processes
A forklift ticket

What is on offer… exactly?
Permanent full-time position – we run 3 shifts but Monday-Friday (24/5)
38 hours per week – hours by negotiation
Up to $40 per hour plus shift loading for the right candidate who may have experience programming at the press, programming using TruTops, CAD/Inventory experience, or supervisory and training experience
Weekly payroll, early Friday knock-off, opportunity for growth in a growing business
Varied and interesting workload from 4000 off single folds to 1 off 20+ fold parts regularly being manufactured on-site at Express Metal Products.
No crane work – 36 and 130 tonne press brakes folding smaller parts with a very high level of precision.
