Job Summary
Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) on operating mechanical equipment throughout the Hospital.
Qualifications
• Provides information for the P.M. program. Responds to emergency calls.
• Responsible for snow removal as needed.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on automatic doors and roll up doors and fire doors.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on laundry chutes.
• Assist Automatic Door Technician with installation of new automatic doors.
• Repair various hospital equipment: kitchen equipment, pallet jacks, and SPD carts.
• Responds to emergency calls for the trash and linen system.
• Ensure all work is completed within ICRA & ILSM guideline.
• May be required to assist other trades as needed.
• Responsible for snow removal as needed.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent Related Field of Study required or Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Related Field of Study required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of mechanics, tool usage, pneumatics
- Interpersonal skills to exchange information with other shop's personnel about work needed, to provide on-the-job training and to conduct formal skill-building training classes
- NFPA Hot Work Certification required

Physical Requirements
• Physical ability to climb stairs, ladders and walk almost constantly.
• Occasionally its required to work in confined areas
• This position is entirely on your feet, working with a variety of tools.
