SpaceBoat recently launched CurioBoat (CURIO) - neighbourhood activity centres. In this era of marks-driven ed-tech, we believe in interest-driven, activity-based learning experiences that are best delivered in a physical / blended setting. We tie up with new-age education and community entrepreneurs and help them grow their offline/blended presence in several neighbourhoods.
We have partnered with curriculum partners that have a specialised research-based curriculum from across the globe to launch their operations on CURIO. Sample Curriculum Partners:
• Sportybeans - multi-sport program for children (aged 3-8 years).
• Kide Science, a Finland-based after-school STEAM program for preschool and primary school children between the ages of 3 and 8 years, has been awarded among 100 global education innovations.
• Nutspace - reading and storytelling program for 3-8 yr olds.
• Getlitt - Reading & Creative Writing for 6 to 14 yr olds

About Getlitt
Founded in 2012, Getlitt is focused on building creativity and the power of critical thinking in children. The child will be exposed to various writing formats that will help build writing competency.
The child’s reading journey is peppered with exciting challenges and dares for skilling up. Not only do the children read their way to GetLitt, but they also share the light with other children in the world by releasing books with every story they read.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities: Teaching - 60-70% of your time
• Teaching classes
• Developing and updating the curriculum
• Designing and creating teaching tools
• Giving feedback, advising and mentoring students
• Managing assessments to keep track of progress
• Motivating students to achieve language skills
• The major responsibility of the Curio Facilitators will be to teach small kids how to perform creative writing and reading. You need to be able to communicate and demonstrate it properly to kindergarten to primary school children.
• Improve existing curriculum and come up with new lesson plans
• In addition to students, they must be able to interact with parents, other teachers, and school administrators.
• Participate in teacher recruitment and training drives to select and mentor new teachers
• Help in lesson plan creation and improving the curriculum.
• Child attendance and assessment.
Secondary Responsibilities: Assist in the Business side - 30-40% of your time
• Assist in marketing activities for different programs in local communities, social media, SEO, and offline events
• Assist the sales team in interacting with the parents to answer their doubts, and provide feedback on a child’s performance
• Assist the operations team with respect to procuring the material for the centre and helping tie up with new centres
• Help coordinate the recruitment drives
• Help launch the first two batches of a new collaboration before a dedicated facilitation team is recruited for that program
• And other such things
Involvement with the business operations
You will be involved in the business side as well if you opt for full time so we would be expecting you to be ambidextrous and take the non-teaching side responsibilities.
Teacher Training
The programs are super simple to run, with detailed lesson plans. Additionally, we will provide the appropriate training in each program
Two Trainer Model
Each batch is taught by two trainers -
• One trainer should be proficient in handling young children (3 to 8 yr olds)
• One trainer should be proficient in experiment, reading and storytelling-related skills
Prior Experience & Qualifications:
Freshers / College Students / Pre Nursery or Middle School Teachers / BPed / Science Teachers / English Teacher / Storyteller / Reader / Psychology / MA English / Literature Teacher - English
• Bachelor’s/Master's Degree, preferably B.A or B.Ed
• Strong language, writing, presentation and communication skills
• Ability to do internet research & use business software like near drive, dropbox, MS Excel, Powerpoint and Word
• The teacher must be young, energetic, child-friendly and passionate about our programs.
• Must have strong English speaking and listening skills.
• Must have the patience to deal with young children.
• Prior teaching experience, especially with young children (ages 3-8) is preferred
• You have to be ambidextrous as you will be involved in at least 2-3 programs to teach.
Full-Time Timings and Engagement:
We have a 5.5-day week engagement with full-time facilitators
• Tue to Sat - +:30 to 7:30 pm plus
• Either Monday's second half 2:30 to 7:30 pm or Sunday's First half - +:30 am to 2:30 pm (depending on batch formation/allocation, at the discretion of the company)
Part-Time Timings and Engagement:
• Each half-day is 4 hours. This hiring is for after-school activities. The class timings will be:-- Monday to Saturday: 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm and Saturday & Sunday: +:30 am to 1:30 pm
• Part-time candidates will be required for at least 4 half-days per week and for a minimum of 6 months
