WHO WE ARE

The Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (the CISVA) operates 46 schools – 40 elementary and 6 high schools. Our schools are located throughout the Greater Vancouver Area, near the best sites and attractions that Vancouver and British Columbia has to offer. Our footprint extends over 250 kilometers from Powell River in the west to Chilliwack in the east.

JOB DESCRIPTION

St. Anthony’s School seeks a dedicated Primary Teacher to join our caring and dynamic school community. The successful candidate will have a deep commitment to Catholic education, enjoy collaborative teaching, and a passion for working as part of an energetic team. Some extracurricular involvement (based on skills) is expected.



The successful candidate will:

Foster a Christ-centered learning environment where Gospel values are integrated into daily teaching and classroom culture.

Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to enhance student learning and school initiatives.

Actively participate in faith-based activities, including school Masses, prayer services, and religious celebrations.

Encourage and model Catholic values in all student, staff, and family interactions.

Contribute to the life of the school through involvement in extracurricular programs such as clubs, athletics, or arts initiatives.

Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and spiritual needs of all learners.

Committed to excellence in Education taking pride in the accomplishments of the students.



Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent with Intermediate division qualifications.

Certification with the [Province/State] College of Teachers.

Practicing Catholic in good standing, with a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education.

Strong subject knowledge in mathematics and effective teaching strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.

Current criminal background check and pastoral reference.

On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply.
