About the Role
As a Principal Advisor, you will have a generalist skillset and can work with senior stakeholders across the wider business. The role requires strong writing and communication skills. This permanent full-time role sits within our Intelligence Directorate and reports to the National Manager Integration Programmes.
In this role, you will:
Lead significant programmes of work to set up processes and systems to integrate teams across the Intelligence Directorate. Programmes include Partnerships, Learning and Development, Culture, embedding shared ways of working
Represent Intelligence with senior stakeholders across NPHS to support embedding both the Intelligence operating model within a wider NPHS operating context nationally, regionally and locally
Work closely with Intelligence leadership to develop and embed piece of work to better enable delivery
Help embed changes, may include writing documentation, making changes to Sharepoint sites, leading the roll out of face to face clinics, or other activities as needed
Help to provide evidence-based support for the development and delivery of strategy, products and services to enable the NPHS to realise the planned outcomes of the health reforms

The NPHS within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.
About you
As Principal Advisor, you are confident working in a fast-paced environment and getting ‘stuck in' to operationalise the NPHS operating model in relation to Intelligence Directorate. You will need a broad generalist skillset to work across the NPHS National, Regional and local NPHS teams in partnership. You have proven experience in delivering work alongside senior stakeholders, and you are confident working in navigating a complex organisation environment. You will also have proven experience in applying critical thinking, using sound judgement to develop options and provide advice.
A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification
Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action
Be a present, visible team player, committed to foster an in-person (where feasible) environment and culture
Proven ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders Excellent written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to write clear, well-structured and meaningful outputs
Ideally a depth of experience working across regional and national contexts
Experience working in programme management and change management
Leadership experience is desirable and a comfort working with senior stakeholders
Comfort working with collaboration technologies, for example Teams, Sharepoint, Jira
Experience in an advisory role, applying critical thinking and using sound judgement to develop options and provide advice
