is in the process of designing & developing a suite of SaaS applications for the state &
local government markets using cutting edge technologies.These are exciting times in

Who You Are:
As an Android Developer for the Local Government GBU you will play a critical role in
designing and implementing a suite of services that focus on user experience,
performance, AI/ML, real-time event and data processing. As a remote developer, you
must not only follow best practices, standards, and processes employed by our team, but
feel comfortable contributing to them as well. You will have strong communication skills
with a penchant for radiating information. You enjoy rapid iteration and working closely
with Product to design UIs that will delight our users. You have a strong pulse on the
cloud development community keeping up on news and changes as they come.
What you will do:
Responsible for working with the team to develop and maintain Android applications which are part of the suite
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
Collaborate with the engineering and product teams, contribute to the definitionof specifications for new features, and own the development of those features
Define and implement supporting web services
Guide the team regarding constraints and best practices in an environment with integrated mobile and web-based experiences
Proactively identify and solvebottlenecksfix bugs and performance issues
Maintain code quality, organization and automation
Ensure testing strategy is followed within the team
Support the services you build in production
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 10+ years of mobile experience is required, with an emphasis on Android development experience
8+ years of experience working with the following:
Designing and building mobile applications for the Apple mobile platform using Kotlin
Oracle database, MySQL (experience with MS SQL and/or NoSQL is a plus)
CI/CD (Jenkins and GitLab CI)
Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, and docker-compose)
Cloud computing platform (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Services)
Programming and scripting languages (Python, bash, Java Script -additional experience with PHP, Groovy, Java, Ansible, and/or Go is a plus)
Git version-control and collaboration (GitLab)
Issue tracking and collaboration (Jira and Confluence)
Product/Service ownership or Project Management experience a plus
Experienced with ITIL V3, Foundation Level certified preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicatewith individuals across the organization
A systems thinker, able to move fluidly between high-level abstract thinking and detail-oriented implementation open minded to new ideas, approaches, andpossesses the technical ability to implement ideas
Experience working with Agile development frameworks
A self-starter that is naturally inquisitive, requiring only small pieces to the puzzle,across many technologies new and legacy
