We are seeking a dynamic leader to be a member of the Cyber Lead Team, ensuring security is seamlessly embedded across the Co-op’s technology landscape.
As the Principal Architect – Cyber, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping Fonterra’s cybersecurity architecture, working closely with the Head of Enterprise Architecture and maintaining a dotted-line relationship with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). You’ll provide strategic and hands-on guidance to build and evolve secure platforms, digital products, and operating models. Collaborating with enterprise architects, business leaders, and delivery teams, you’ll champion “security by design” from the ground up.
As the principal advisor on cybersecurity architecture, you’ll align security strategies with business goals, oversee the development of architectural standards and roadmaps, and lead a high-performing team of specialists. This role also involves shaping Fonterra’s cybersecurity service offerings, supporting executive communications, and staying ahead of emerging threats and technologies.

You’re a strategic thinker and hands-on expert who connects business goals with robust cybersecurity architecture. With deep technical knowledge across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), zero trust, IAM, data protection, SAP and OT security, you bring a well-rounded, forward-thinking approach to securing complex environments. Your experience spans enterprise frameworks like SABSA, TOGAF, and NIST CSF, and you’re skilled in threat modelling, secure design, and risk analysis.
You balance pragmatism with a non-negotiable stance on core cybersecurity principles—exercising sound judgment in navigating complex trade-offs without compromising our security posture.
Your ability to engage, influence, and align across diverse stakeholder groups—technical, business, and executive—is key to your success. Clear communication and strong presentation skills enable you to drive meaningful conversations and build trust across the organisation.
