We are currently undergoing a significant Transformation program to enhance our capabilities and ensure we stay at the forefront of the industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Architect to drive our architectural approach to integration, supporting current state solutions whilst simultaneously enabling the transition to a modern integration technology approach for all new solutions and to enable the successful realisation of our technology target state.
Key Role responsibilities:
Partner with Head of Platforms / Principal Engineer for Integration to define and maintain the Integration Architecture Roadmap, ensuring alignment with business strategy and engineering best practices.
Define and influence adoption of clear and reusable integration patterns, design guides, and requirements for integration.
Be accountable for the architectural deliverables supporting Kiwibank’s integration enablement function.
Engage in deep business and technology discussions to assess options and solution approaches, providing recommendations accordingly.
Help drive the definition of our Technology Service Domains and ensure alignment of Transformation programme and solution approaches
Contribute effectively and constructively to decisions regarding Kiwibank' s current, interim, and target architectures.

Key skills and experience we’re looking for:
In-depth understanding of integration technologies, approaches, and techniques.
Proven track record in architecture on large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to influence and persuade at all levels without formal reporting line responsibility.
Broad knowledge of end-to-end banking systems and processes.
Experience in roadmap development, including the ability to create and maintain comprehensive architecture roadmaps.
Experience maintaining highly effective relationships with partners and suppliers.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively.
Pragmatic, reliable, and able to work under pressure and meet tight timelines.
