The Role
We are looking for a Principal C++ Developer for our AspenTech Subsurface Science & Engineering business unit, which produce software for the exploration and production of natural resources like oil, gas, mining, geothermal and to solve sustainability problems like CO2 capture.
As a developer, you will be the main developer on our Desktop Sysdrill products, dedicated to drilling, working with our Product Management and our Quality Engineering team.
Your Impact
• · Perform complex analysis, design, and development tasks, evaluating complex information flow, interfaces, and key data structures to advance integration and implement complex application requirements in a C++ application ·Setup and maintain a continuous integration farm ·Participate in the ceremonies of an agile team, report project progress internally to the product manager team. ·Interact with the other development teams of the business unit in Western Europe, Israel, Australia, China, and US. ·Follows professional software engineering practices including full software development life cycle, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, manual and automatic testing, and operations.
What You'll Need
·Master's degree or higher in Computer Science
· 10+ years of experience in a software development role
·Experience of development in a Windows (Visual Studio) or a Linux environment
·C++ 11 expertise
·Experience in Python or scripting
·Fluent English
·Autonomy, curiosity, learning mindset.
