Job description
Our client is a leading civil engineering firm seeking a highly experienced and distinguished Principal Civil Engineer to spearhead major infrastructure projects. This is a pivotal role for an individual with a deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in managing complex civil engineering endeavors. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance, overseeing design and construction, and ensuring project success from conception to completion. This role requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable infrastructure solutions. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design, planning, and execution of large-scale civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and water systems. Provide expert technical leadership and direction to engineering teams. Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and impact assessments. Develop project specifications, drawings, and construction documents. Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation. Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements. Manage relationships with clients, contractors, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Perform quality control checks and site inspections to ensure adherence to design and safety standards. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in civil engineering technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. 15+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a significant focus on infrastructure projects. Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory. Extensive experience in project management, including budget control and contract administration. Proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro). Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and diverse teams. Experience with environmental regulations and sustainable design practices. Ability to travel to project sites as needed. This role requires full-time on-site presence in Surat, Gujarat, IN .
