This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAP

The Infrastructure division is responsible for the planning, construction and maintenance of the Department’s schools and building facilities. Infrastructure services include:

school and facility planning
capital works on new and existing schools
maintenance of existing schools
management and operational support of school facilities and resources.

The Role

As a Principal Consultant – Facilities Planning, the role involves contributing to the development of strategic plans and initiatives, preparing feasibility studies to support proposals, and conducting audits while providing informed recommendations and reports relevant to Western Australian Government schools. You will also provide strategic advice to senior management and prepare responses for ministerial correspondence, parliamentary questions, general enquiries, and reports.

The role will include management and support of the branch, such as managing staff performance with relevant policies and monitoring staff leave entitlement in accordance with relevant awards, agreements and Departmental policy.

Key responsibilities in this role relate to stakeholder management and liaison. The successful applicant will ideally have experience with creating and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of clientele, and have strong communication skills.
