We at SEDEMAC are on the look-out for Principal Engineer, Embedded Software to join our stellar Software team.
Major Responsibilities
An Embedded Engineer at SEDEMAC is broadly responsible for end-to-end design & development of product or project specific software across various product lines of SEDEMAC
• Be responsible for multiple s/w development projects simultaneously.
• Ensure timely and high quality software delivery, in co-ordination with team leader of each project.
• Keep track of projects' progress and risks; report that to higher management.
• Be responsible for zero-defect and timely deliveries.
• Improving s/w development process and ensuring compliance.
• Act as Single Point of Contact for internal and external customers.
• Perform code reviews; have a keen eye for suspecting and spotting potential errors.
• Hands on s/w development work (C, C++, C#, Python, Matlab/Simulink, Java...).
• Contribute to project and cross-project documentation.
Expect to spend more than 50% time for point number #7, 8 and + together.
Required Skills & Experience
• Software development experience in: (first is mandatory + any two of the remaining 3):
• [Must have] Embedded Software Development in C and C++
• Desktop CLI and GUI applications development in C#
• Android app development in Java or Kotlin
• Web applications (backend) development in Java or any language
• Experience with RTOS
• Good knowledge and hands-on with IDEs, debuggers, emulators etc.
• Experience of Model Based Development using MATLAB and Simulink (Embedded Coder or TargetLink).
• Experience of creating documentation using doxygen, markdown, LATEX etc.
• Good understanding of software development process and standards.
• Experience of having handled entire lifecycle of a firmware product including revisions and variants.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication.
• Exposure to automotive systems and software e.g Bootloaders, CAN, UDS, OBD etc.
• Experience of using modern tools such as Git, BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence, Simulink, static analysis tools.
• 3+ years experience of leading a team.
Good-to-have Skills and Experience
• Experience in Automotive powertrain applications.
• Experience with AUTOSAR software framework
• Experience of leading multiple project teams simultaneously
• Familiarity with software development process standards like ASPICE
• Familiarity with safety standard ISO26262
Information on Selection Process
• The selection process will be multi-phased tests plus interviews.
• There will be focus on evaluation of your understanding of embedded software skills, logical & analytical skills.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics / Computer Science Engineering with ++ years of relevant work experience
