Job Responsibilities:
• Technical Owner for System Infrastructure on a Telematics platform (UTC time, Persistency, SW Watchdog, Power Management, Life cycle management, Logging, Systemd Engineering menu etc)
• Understanding of the system software, system architecture, design methodologies and software platform integration
• Understand business requirements, associate them with agile entities (stories/tasks) for planning and execution
• Mentor and lead a team of capable engineers to port / design and develop system infrastructure software components
• Work closely with hardware team
• Enable platform for research and development of POCs and demos in areas like 5G
• Design and develop scalable, maintainable and reliable automotive grade system infrastructure applications
Basic Qualifications:
• Masters/Bachelors degree in electrical, communications, computer engineering or a similar discipline
• Should have 10 to 12 years of overall experience.
• Experience in executing projects in SAFe Agile work environment
• A solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies on Linux based custom hardware platforms including detailed understanding of boot sequences on an embedded platform
• Minimum three years of hands-on experience, in research or industry, designing and developing System Infrastructure software components for ARM based SoC platforms
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Working experience with software debugging tools (gdb, strace, systemd analyze, valgrind)
• Experience on working with tools like Lauterbach TRACE32 debuggers to troubleshoot and debug hardware
• Working experience with industry standard version control systems like GIT, Gerrit and Project Management tools
• Good written and oral communication skills to collaborate with teams across geographies
• Willingness to contribute new ideas and be proactive
• Self-driven individual with the ability to motivate team members to achieve their goals.
Preferred Qualifications & Desired Competencies :
• Prior experience with Telematics in automotive domain using hardware platforms with 4G/5G telephony interfaces
Resourcefulness in understanding integration problems and coordinating with multiple teams for issue resolution
