About the Opportunity

Working closely with the ODPP Executive, leadership, and management teams, the Principal HR Adviser will establish, develop, and maintain systems and HR processes to support the development and improvement of ODPP operations, aiming to evolve the ODPP into a high-performing workforce. The Principal HR Adviser will be responsible for developing and applying processes within organizational change programs, engaging with stakeholders and employees to implement cohesive structures and maximize outcomes. This role involves collaborating with managers to support effective leadership, conflict resolution, and performance management.

The Principal HR Adviser will provide general and strategic HR advice, including interpreting the PS Act and Regulations and relevant industrial instruments. Key responsibilities also include managing HR operational processes such as staff and Executive recruitment, and establishing ODPP policies and objectives. Additionally, the role will support initiatives related to reward and recognition, identifying training needs, and establishing learning opportunities in conjunction with the Legal Training Educator.



About the Business

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is an office of approximately 180 staff, comprising both legal and administrative functions. The ODPP was established through the Director of Public Prosecutions Act, 1++1 to provide an effective, fair and independent criminal prosecution service for the people of South Australia. The Office is committed to the highest ethical and professional standards.
