As the Principal Lawyer - Crime, you will lead a busy team of legal and administrative staff to deliver efficient and effective services to the community.
The team provides legal information, advice, and representation in criminal and civil cases, including duty lawyer services in the criminal and civil law courts and legal services to prisoners.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise a team of professional and administrative staff.
Lead, monitor, and report on the operational performance of the team.
Supervise legal work and develop the skills of staff within the team.
Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in delivering legal services and meeting organisational objectives while managing and supervising a team.
Extensive experience in conducting complex summary and indictable criminal law matters.
Detailed knowledge of the practice and procedure of criminal law.
Ability to present in a clear, concise, and articulate manner and communicate with clients with complex needs.
