The VGCCC is an independent statutory authority that is introducing a globally leading approach to regulation of the gambling industry, ensuring that we focus on minimising harm to the Victorian community. We licence, inform, educate, monitor and enforce the gambling industry through a risk-based, sector-focused approach to regulation.

Our opportunity

As a Principal Policy Officer, you will use your initiative and experience to provide sound independent and authoritative strategic policy advice and recommendations to the VGCCC, on a range of complex policy issues including policy frameworks and gaps in regulation of the gambling industry in Victoria.

To be successful in this position you will have:

A proven track record in leading a policy team in the provision of expert advice on complex policy position within a complex regulatory environment.
Experience in developing and or implementing policy frameworks, for regulating in a complex environment.
An appropriate tertiary qualification in the fields of law, public policy or other relevant discipline is required.
Significant regulatory policy experience in developing frameworks for industry is an advantage.
