Job description:

Contribute to the effective and efficient management and coordination of the office of the Deputy Secretary Hospitals and Primary Care providing information, operational and project support, and guidance on emerging issues of relevance. Provide high-level analysis and advice on strategic policy, Government and Ministerial interaction, and risk issues including monitoring of strategic projects across Hospitals and Primary Care

Contribute to the effective and efficient management and coordination of the office of the Deputy Secretary Hospitals and Primary Care providing information, operational and project support, and guidance on emerging issues of relevance. Provide high-level analysis and advice on strategic policy, Government and Ministerial interaction, and risk issues including monitoring of strategic projects across Hospitals and Primary Care.

The role:

Provide high level and specialised expertise in contemporary project management principles and practices to develop, coordinate and implement projects or programs of work, strategies, and initiatives that improve policies, procedures, processes, and Statewide systems.

Prepare and maintain project and procurement documentation, including project plans, budgets, technical and business requirements, minutes and action plans, in accordance with the Department’s Project Management Framework and Government Procurement Guidelines.

Initiate and undertake high level research, investigations, and analysis in cooperation with others to deliver required project outputs and outcomes, including preparing any relevant briefs, submissions, reports and communications.

Provide high level advice and assistance to the Deputy Secretary, relevant Ministers, the Secretary, other Deputy Secretaries and other senior staff in relation to the Office of the Deputy Secretary and the efficient and effective discharge of the Deputy Secretary’s functions.
