SOAR R&D team is looking for a Lead Software Development Engineer to help improve and expand our SOAR capabilities by design and develop multiple solutions like connectors supporting 3rd party tools and software of medium-to-high complexity to perform desired actions.
As a member of the team, you’ll be responsible for completely new development or enhancements of an existing solutions. Development work would be in relation with the design and creation of a solution to address Cyber Security challenges, automation needs in cloud, software defined environments or large-scale deployments.
The position requires a team player with very good problem-solving, technical, written and verbal communication skills who follows a best practice for designing, developing, implementing and supporting a software.
Experience in the cyber security arena – such as security products development, security operation center, or security analyst groups - would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities
Research, investigate, and define new connectors and enhance existing features; re-evaluate the design and implementation of current source code.
Participate in functional spec, design, and code reviews.
Work on cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects.
Maintain and document code using source control system.
Develop high quality, secure, scalable software solutions based on technical requirements specifications and design artifacts within expected time and budget.
Drives and takes an active role in the various development phases (e.g. exploration, design, development and unit testing).

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent education.
7-10 years of experience in software development
High level expertise in any programming language. Preferred Python programming.
Hands-on experience with popular Python/Java Framework (Spring Boot, Django)
 Experience in building REST API based microservices is a must.
 Broad knowledge of web standards for authentication such as OAuth2, SAML2, SSL, CORS, JWT, REST/SOAP etc.
 Stronghold of data structures and multiple-threading/multiple-processing programming
 Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills is required
 Knowledge of Postgre

SQL, Rabbit

MQ, ES Stack, NGINX and application deployment is an added advantage

 Ability to communicate and discuss technical topics with both technical and business audiences.
 Excellent understanding and knowledge of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is required.
 Self-motivated with the ability to accomplish tasks with minimal direction
 Experience in cybersecurity product development or integration (e.g. playbooks, connectors) is an added advantage
 Incident response, intrusion prevention experience as part of a SOC or security analyst team is an added advantage
 Familiar with security elements such as IDPS, EDR, SIEM or SOAR systems is an added advantage
 Exposure to Forti Manager, Forti Gate, Forti

SIEM, Splunk, Arch Sight, QRadar, etc. systems is an added advantage.

Education
 Bachelor's Degree in technical or management discipline and/or equivalent extensive work-related experience
