Being a member of the IT Solutions ITP Data Platform Team means you will be part of diverse and collaborative group of technologists. DTCC ITP is the operations expert, automating post-trade life cycle events between 6,000 financial services firms in 52 countries. We enable clients to accelerate the clearing and settlement of trades, seamlessly connect and interoperate with their counterparties, and respond to changing market and regulatory conditions ensuring quality, efficiency, and excellence using innovative technologies.
You will collaborate with your peers within and outside your area to ensure that any best practices/approaches/standards are reused. You would be part of an Agile squad and will collaborate with the Product Owner (PO) to understand the business needs and participate in planning, definition, and high-level technical design with the development team. You will collaborate with your peers within and outside your area to ensure that any best practices/approaches/standards are reused and crafting elegantly and robustly.
Your Responsibilities
• Participate in requirements capturing with Product owners, business users and domain specialists and come up with a sophisticated solution design adhering to the best design patterns.
• Write clean, self-documenting code following standard methodologies on coding incorporating unit testing.
• Collaborate with the Senior Application Architects and other technical contributors at all levels during application development and resolve application defects identified during System Integration and User Acceptance Testing Phases
• Participate in code reviews, Sprint meetings and retrospectives.
• Provide ongoing maintenance support for the applications during Post-deployment support phase.
• In-depth understanding of all aspects of the Java platform and the Spring family of frameworks
• Expertise in working in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
• Passionate about building an innovative culture
• Be a self-starter providing creative and innovative ideas or solutions continuously improving the technological offering.
• Promoting and developing talent of colleagues
Qualifications
• Hands-on experience in application development
• Extensive experience with: Leading software development projects Designing and developing systems that align with architectural standards and best practices Java (Core & EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud) Experience with Micro Services & Layered (SOA/MVC) Architecture SCM / DevOps / CI/CD tools & process (GIT/Bitbucket, Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Sonar) Proficient with Test Driven Development (TDD), including Testing tools & frameworks (JUnit, Mockito). Agile Methodology and Tools (JIRA) Experience with Integration patterns and messaging technologies (Solace, Kafka, RabbitMQ) Experience with Caching solutions (REDIS, Gemfire, EHCache) Experience with Cloud providers (AWS / Azure). Preferable AWS. Experience with Cloud Platforms, Container/Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry) Plus would be - Having some big data understanding with Python experience
