Job description: Location Details: New Delhi At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-events or offsites. Your hiring manager can share more about this role’s hybrid or remote time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely. This is an in-office position. You’ll eventually be expected to work full-time in an office location, and therefore must live within commuting distance from your assigned office. If your designated office has re-opened to employees, you will work from this office beginning on your first day. If your designated office is not yet re-opened, you’ll work remotely until leadership transitions the team back to in-office work. Your hiring manager will communicate whether your designated office is open to employees before your first day. GoDaddy's Customer Knowledge Platform team is building state-of-the-art data processing system to power the next generation of business analytics and customer experiences. As a Principal Software Development Engineer, you will help to design and build the core pieces on which our data pipelines will run. We have lots of exciting technical challenges in areas such as distributed systems and scale, real-time streaming, databases (SQL/NO-SQL), security, etc. Creative problem solving, strong development skills, excellent communication and soft-skills, and a strong sense of ownership will be important for success. Design, implement and maintain core data pipeline SDK Run team scrum process and drive progress with input from stakeholders Drive cross-team technical communication and integration with partners Your experience should include... 10+ years of software development experience on developing and shipping software Understanding of common distributed systems problems and solutions Understanding of common database technologies, including NoSQL and SQL Understanding of operating system concepts and their application to troubleshoot hard problems Expert Java programmer; Fluent in several other languages (e.g. Python) Passion for building great software with solid test infrastructure Familiarity with open-source technology stack and practice Excellent communication and soft skills Experience with large scale data processing systems (Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Beam) Experience with cloud computing You might also have... Minimum BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree, with excellent computer science fundamentals About us...
