You have lead a security program before, and have a clear vision for how you would make it better
You have expert experience with secure-by-default architecture

You have expert knowledge of security testing tools and techniques

Ability to design and write program/design specifications for self and others

Ability to review design documents from the security perspective
Ability to lead with data and scalable solutions in everything you do
Experience with designing and implementing distributed software systems with robust APIs (gRPC, REST, etc)
Benefits
The estimated base salary range for this role is $235,000 - $368,000
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location

Responsibilities
In this position you are expected to design, plan, and implement solutions that improve and verify the security posture of Snowflake products and infrastructure
Projects focus on building a platform that makes it easy to deploy and maintain security services, unifying security experience for developers, increasing developer autonomy as it pertains to security, detecting security vulnerabilities, secure-by-default solutions, and leveraging data to drive security outcomes
We hold a special emphasis on building with software engineering best practices (documentation, testing, observability, etc)

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Ability to design and write program/design specifications for self and others

• Ability to review design documents from the security perspective
• Ability to lead with data and scalable solutions in everything you do

PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Experience with production service development in Go
• Ability to write, debug and optimize SQL queries
• Understanding and properly applying software algorithms and data structures
• Experience with Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-code (terraform, pulumi, etc)
• Experience with building scalable and concurrent web applications
