Principal Software Engineer (Python) – LSEG
Role profile

Responsibilities
• Design and develop scalable software products.
• Solve complex technical issues, optimize workflows, and provide strategic insights to partners to support project goals and timelines.
• Collaborate closely with Data Science, research and product teams.
• Set high technical standards.
• Perform hands‑on development as an individual contributor.
Qualifications
• Expert‑level Python skills.
• Extensive experience in software engineering with a focus on designing and implementing high‑performance, scalable systems.
• Experience working cross‑functionally with Product and Research teams.
• Experience in cloud technologies (emphasis on Azure) and deployment practices, ensuring seamless and scalable delivery.
• Experience working with ML and Data Science teams, product ionizing ML solutions.
• Proven ability to uphold coding and design standards to ensure high‑quality, maintainable code.
• Effective communication skills, with experience communicating with both technical and non‑technical colleagues.
• Working knowledge of Dev Ops, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring.
• Experience in Fintech is a plus.

Education
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
