Job Title – Principal - Software Engineering
The Purpose of This Role
Fidelity Personal Investing (PI) serves the financial needs of millions of individual investors with a comprehensive range of investment products and services. As part of this effort, we need an experienced hands-on development leader to drive technical designs and development.
The Value You Deliver
• You will be primarily responsible for designing, developing and coordinating with other technical teams and analysts.
• Work as a gatekeeper for appropriate Design and code quality by closing working with the squad to setup design/code review, setting standards etc.
• You will be responsible for creating Rest API based solutions along with setting standards and working with the development team on the squad KPI’s.
• You will be working with Tech leads, Development Team and stake-holders across the business unit in a fast paced agile environment.
The Skills That Are Key To This Role
Technical / Behavioral
• Need to be highly conversant with designing and developing Rest API’s, Micro Services, migration of onPrem services to cloud based solutions.
• You need to be highly conversant with 3 or more AWS services, along with OnPrem AWS migration experience.
• Knowledge and exposure to NoSQL databases (like Cassandra), AWS will be a nice to have skillset for you.
• Knowledge of financial markets will be desirable.

• You will need to demonstrate the ability to recognize the urgency of issues and take appropriate steps to mitigate risks.

Personal Investing (PI) is the retail investing arm of Fidelity that serves the financial needs of millions of individual investors with a comprehensive range of investment products and services. The primary objective of the team in India is to enable the PI businesses, working with our IT business partners in the US. Over the years, we have developed technical expertise on various functions of personal and strategic investment products and data. In this role, you will work with architects and senior development resources across the squad, as well as other technical and business stakeholders across the organization to add value to the customers.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
• ++ years of Java Development experience including experience in developing Rest API, Spring Boot and Spring Batch.
• Setting best practices for Design and coding,
• Leading POC’s for new tech stack/business Use-case.
• 2+ years of experience in migration of On-Prem web services to AWS.
• Bachelors or Masters in Engineering or Computer Science or Information Technology
Location : Bangalore - EGL
Shift timings: 11:00 am - 8:00pm
