Job Title – Principal – Software Engineering - Data Engineering
The Purpose of This Role
The Principal Data Services Engineer will assist in design, work independently on development and implementation using best practices for data integration, which includes cloud and/or traditional infrastructure technologies. Your role will be to deliver data centric data integration solutions with transformation logic to be consumed by our customers. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to mentor technical peers is encouraged. You will be responsible to work with the Data Architects, Business Analysts, Customers and Solution Architects when integraing data with end to end development activities.

• Strong experience of working in large teams and proven technical leadership capabilities
• Strong experience on leading technical/ architectural discussions
• Knowledge of Enterprise level implementations like Data warehouse, Automated solutions.
• Ability to negotiate, influence and work with business peers and management.
• Requirement gathering and make design decisions
• Ability to develop and drive a strategy as per the needs of the team
• Hands on experience to work on data integration across on-premise/ Cloud environments
The Skills That Are Key To This Role
• You have good knowledge of Snowflake, Postgresql
• Database development (PL/pgSQL , Snowflake Scripting, PL/SQL)
• You have good knowledge in Streaming/ Replication process like Kafka, Golden gate, AWS DMS
• You have good knowledge of AWS Services (RDS, EC2, S3, Lamdba, DMS, Secret Manager, Cloud formation, KMS)
• You have good knowledge of ETL/ELT solutions (eg: Nifi, Informatica, Talend)
• Designing and developing moderate to high complex data integration solution
• You have good knowledge of Server Infrastructure ( Unix, Shell Scripting Basics or Python)
• Ability to multi-task across multiple projects within different contexts in a fast-paced environment
The Skills that are Good to Have for this role
• Ability to lead and mentor junior data engineers
• You know Job Scheduling Technologies like Autosys or Crontab
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing methodologies and concepts
• Advanced data manipulation languages and frameworks (JAVA, PYTHON, JSON)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in an Agile team structure.
