Job description
Responsibilities
• Assure proper maintenance and repair of departmental equipment; maintain current knowledge of technical advances in the field.
• Examine material submitted for printing
• Order and maintain inventory of paper stock, ink, chemicals and other supplies and equipment
• Organize, assign and direct the operation of the various Printing Process and oversee the maintenance of Printing equipment; train staff in operation of print room equipment.
• Requisition supplies related to personalised order
• Research printing equipment and recommendations and analysis of new equipment and proposed facilities as necessary.
• Review incoming work, prepare production instructions, estimate production time, establish priority and schedule work for the various phases of personalization.
• Supervise various printing process like, sublimation, UV and laser engraving.
• Train, assign and supervise the performance of assigned personnel.
• Close coordination with Merchandise team for new product testing and development
Requirements and skills
KNOWLEDGE OF:
• Methods, practices and procedures used in the production of printed and graphic materials.
• Operation, use, minor repair and maintenance of printing and related equipment.
• Ink, chemicals and papers used in printing operations.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Review incoming work, prepare production instructions, estimate production time, establish priority and schedule work.
• Train to other and evaluate personnel.
• Plan and organize work.
• Meet schedules and time lines.
• Operate a wide variety of equipment utilized in printing.
