Job Description
• You will be reconciling the banking/accounting system with the tax system for client and Tax Authority for multiple jurisdictions like as US, UK, German, Indonesia, FATCA, CRS, etc.
• You will be reviewing transaction feed across product/security types and tax withholding review and remittance to tax authority for various markets like Belgium,US, German, Sweden etc.
• You will liaising with various upstream operations team like Asset Servicing, middle office trade Support and Derivatives, Securities transfers, Hedge Funds etc. for transaction corrections etc.
• You will be liaising with Tax Tech, Tax Projects and Business for system enhancement and support tax reporting for new products
• You will maintain high standards and follow all process controls with no lapses.Pre empt process gaps and implement controls.Handle issues independently and escalate to management if required
• You will Interact with different stakeholder to resolve process issues and play key role in adding process controls
• You will suggest process enhancements, possible automations for better controls, perform periodic risk and controls analysis with the team for process risk valuation. Ensuring connect with the team including periodic check in and performance discussions.
Required Qualifications
• 7-8 years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of securities, trade settlement, tax and MS Excel
• Understanding US Tax jurisdiction (1042/10++ reporting, FATCA/NRA)
• Knowledge of corporate actions, security transfers would be preferred.
• Candidate with some understanding of tax & gain/loss reporting are preferred
• Team and Performance Management
• Have strong communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to crisply articulate complex technical concepts to senior audiences with poise and confidence.
• Strong team player and has the capacity to build good working relationships with cross functional/geographical teams
• Result oriented, accepting responsibilities and challenges that take them outside their comfort zone.
• Proficient with JIRA, Visio and MS Office Tools (Excel & Powerpoint)
