Part TimeWe have a vacancy for a reliable and enthusiastic part-time Private Chef to cater for a family of 3 at their home in Central London cooking 4 to 5 evening meals a week.
Menus are simple, fresh and healthy and the family enjoy Italian, Mediterranean, Asian and Modern British cooking. This may include occasional dinner parties and family events. The kitchen is open plan so a clean as you go tidy work ethic is essential. You will be expected to plan meals with the principal and do the food shop.
You must have strong all-round kitchen skills, including baking, and be comfortable working in a domestic environment with children and pets, standards throughout are high. There is a well-equipped domestic kitchen.
We are looking for someone with a passion for food, highly creative, but equally happy cooking family favourites and comfort food, easy going and flexible.
The ideal candidate will have several years’ experience working in the private sector with appropriate professional qualifications and excellent references. The outgoing chef, who was with the family for 4 years, also used to walk the dog and do a few other household duties but this is not essential.
Although you will be working in an informal family environment professional behaviour is required at all times.
Interviews will include a cooking trial.
This position is subject to a full DBS check
Driving license preferred
Salary: Negotiable hourly rate /weekly pay
Hours: 4pm to +pm approximately
