Job Description
The Private Emergency Admissions Liaison Nurse will ensure an optimal private patient experience from the receipt of a GP referral through the transition from the Emergency Department to a Private inpatient bed. They will have a key role in supporting our public Emergency Department to deliver on their Western Australian Emergency Access Targets (WEAT)
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have the following position knowledge, skills & capabilities
Essential:
Registered Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
Proven sound leadership skills
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the public or private acute hospital environment
Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
Highly skilled in prioritising workloads and problem solving
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Ability to multi-task and present confidently and competently
Supports an environment of continuous learning and quality improvement
Demonstrated passion regarding the provision of excellent patient care
High levels of self-motivation, drive and initiative combined with the ability to adapt to changes
Computer literacy at a level sufficient to undertake the requirements of the position
Desirable:
Postgraduate study in a relevant discipline.
Previous experience in an Emergency Department.
Knowledge of private health sector and private hospital funding.
Current endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) is highly desirable.
Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $73.30 - $79.28 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (Nurse Practitioner NP1 - NP3)
