About Our Client
Our client is a specialized commercial real estate lending and advisory firm with a strong focus on HUD/FHA-insured financing for healthcare and multifamily properties nationwide. The firm is actively involved in originating and executing Section 232 and other HUD healthcare loan programs, delivering long-term, government-insured financing solutions for skilled nursing, assisted living, and senior housing assets. Known for its deep HUD expertise and hands-on execution, the firm navigates complex regulatory, underwriting, and approval processes to achieve consistent and reliable outcomes for borrowers.
Role Summary
Seeking an experienced Process Leader – HUD/FHA Lending (Healthcare Real Estate) to support end-to-end execution of FHA-insured healthcare loans (Section 232). The role is execution-focused, covering HUD submissions, underwriting support, third-party coordination, and closing support.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage HUD healthcare loan files from application to Firm Commitment and closing
• Prepare and submit HUD Pre-Application and Firm Application packages
• Coordinate and track third-party reports (CNA, appraisal, ESA, market studies, surveys)
• Support underwriting analysis: cash flow, DSCR, loan sizing, sources & uses
• Coordinate with borrowers, legal counsel, HUD staff, and internal teams
• Track and clear underwriting and closing conditions
• Maintain accurate loan files, trackers, and dashboards
Must-Have Experience
• HUD/FHA healthcare lending experience (Section 232 required / strongly preferred)
• Hands-on HUD loan processing and submission experience
• Strong financial analysis and advanced Excel skills
• Solid understanding of HUD healthcare documentation and workflows
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote, US-shift environment
Nice-to-Have
• Experience with skilled nursing, assisted living, or senior housing assets
• Exposure to CNA, appraisal, and market study reviews
• Prior experience with HUD-approved or MAP lenders
Education
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
