Position Overview
As the Procurement Manager for the packaging portfolio at McCormick Foods Australia, you will play a crucial role in end-to-end category management and sourcing. Your focus will be on driving supply assurance, sustainability, and value delivery while leveraging market insights to foster growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities;
Utilize your expertise in procurement and supply chain management to oversee the ongoing procurement for the Australian business and develop strategic initiatives for packaging materials.
Negotiate new and existing agreements with suppliers, fostering strong relationships to ensure optimal performance and collaboration.
Gather and analyze market intelligence on commodity trends, helping to build accurate budgets and forecasting models for effective risk mitigation.
Execute strategies that meet key performance indicators (KPIs) related to savings, supply assurance, sustainability, and risk management.
Collaborate with the Purchasing team to address escalated inquiries and enhance overall procurement processes.
Ideal Candidate
Demonstrated Experience: 3-5 years with direct packaging experience within FMCG or manufacturing environment.
Commercial Acumen: A commercially minded procurement professional with a strong background in packaging and supply chain management.
Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent interpersonal skills for managing relationships with local and regional teams, as well as key functional leads.
Impact-Driven: A desire to contribute meaningfully to the organization and the broader community, aligning procurement strategies with McCormick's sustainability and growth objectives.
