Job Description
Summary:
In this role you will be supporting both the Cavotec charging project team as well as the New Product Development project team for charging projects. Being part of the charging team, you are responsible to find (new) suppliers and contractors and secure on-time delivery of quality parts/services to customer sites. You will be also responsible for global (new) supplier selection for new parts and technologies and for supplier qualification. You will be negotiating price and T&C’s and do (initial) cost estimates.
The Role:
• Project processing and tracking, generating orders in accordance with MRP and tracking, maintaining the purchasing project list and sending the EK project overview
• Make-or-buy decisions, including ROI in proposed tooling investments
• Project specific article inquiries and negotiation of conditions
• Article master data maintenance and processing of parts lists / index changes in the ERP system
• Make all proper data entries in ERP system (Navision), including hand-over to Operational buyers.
• Purchase order approvals and invoice verification according to the issued approval levels
• Ensure supply of materials is in place to satisfy on site installation ad commissioning. Development and growth of a network of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Participation in project meetings and milestone meetings
• Achievement synergies and cost savings through proactive analysis of spend to ensure optimization for operational, quality and financial synergies.
• Development and implementation of a global material planning strategy and process for existing and new materials. Evaluation materials in relation to cost, capacity, quality and sustainability.
• Perform supplier audits
Requirements:
• Technical or commercial certified education or qualified degree in Procurement, Engineering or Supply Chain
• 5-10 years of relevant international procurement experience
• Experience in maritime industry or off-highway industry is a plus
• Fluent English, spoken and written
• Commercial and business acumen and negotiation skills
