BMC Software is seeking a Product Designer.

The successful product designer candidate will be improving the user experience (UX) on several of the leading BMC products. Strong technical and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to assume ownership and drive issues to completion are the key success factors.
The candidate should be adept at proposing and documenting software and UI design, analyzing requirements and developing high-quality interaction designs. The candidate should understand Agile software development, be detail-oriented, embrace development and UI best practices, and communicate clearly and effectively with peers and stakeholders. The candidate must be hands on, capable of creating and iterating on wireframes and interactive prototypes.
Job Summary
The Product Designer will:
Design consistent, intuitive, and easy-to-use enterprise web and desktop application user experiences (UX)
Create design artifacts, such as wireframes, prototypes, and user flows
Establish and evolve interaction design patterns, UI standards, and guidelines
Work Collaboratively With Multi-disciplinary Teams Of
• Product managers
• Software architects
• Developers
• QA engineers
• Technical writers
• Researchers
• Interaction designers
• Visual designers
Required
• More than 5 years of experience designing user interactions for enterprise-class web applications
• Demonstrates experience and proficiency in interaction design and usability
• A portfolio of wireframes/mockups demonstrating web application UI designs (not websites)
• Background developing and applying UI design patterns, standards, and guidelines
• Ability to apply user research methodologies to learn, and innovate to solve customer needs
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced development environment
• Provide direction to other interaction designers and work independently
• Understanding of current UI/Front End frameworks and responsive interaction design patterns
• HTML/CSS experience
