Job Description
As the Product Route Food Service Ingredients Technologist you will be responsible for a portfolio of projects, as part of a cross functional team within R&D approving and launching new products and ingredients for Goodman Fielders Food and Ingredients Business.
The role will be accountable for:
Delivery of a portfolio of ingredients and products to be sold under the Wilmar Food and Ingredients Business within Goodman Fielder NZ.
Continuous improvement projects executed using agreed product development & change management processes, quality and regulatory requirements and manufacturing capability,
Providing technical expertise to key stakeholders.
This is an Auckland based Fixed term (12 months) with potential to transition to a permanent position.
Key Deliverables:
Manage product approval process from R&D resource perspective which includes product, quality and packaging factors within R&D function.
Support commercial in Sourcing and selection of new ingredients and Products to on sell within the Wilmar Food and Ingredients RFS channel
Ensure any RFS ingredient projects approved meet GF standards.
Provide any technical support where required to ensure quality standards are achieved for ingredients projects
Oversee sensory testing and meet sensory and acceptability evaluation targets
Implementation of agreed development processes and reporting requirements
Ensure the NPD process is adhered to and that sufficient checks exist to identify any regulatory or policy noncompliance
Early identification of risks and collaborating with stakeholders to implement contingency planning
Provide expert advice, assistance and promotion of food technology program to internal and external stakeholders
About You
In order to make this role successful you will be an experienced NPD Technologist with a background in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering or Food Nutrition, preferably with experience in the dairy industry.
Specifically, the skillsets and experience we're looking for, include:
Technical/Functional Competencies:
2+ years in product development within FMCG environment
Quality Assurance or NPD experience
End to end food product/process development within the manufacturing environment
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements
Project Management
Advanced internal and external stakeholder management.
