Job Purpose - Successful candidate would be responsible to develop and implement strategic plans to manage broking business and increase broking accounts and revenue through partnership with broking firms.
Strategic/ Managerial
Responsibilities
Develop s and implements strategic plans in line with the divisions objective.
Support the development of the team.
Manages and controls the operating framework for the department, provides guidance and support, ensure implementation and review of work processes in order to achieve high performance standards and continuous support
Work closely with various stakeholders and provide inputs on building a robust franchise
Analyzing & identifying key levers to scale business and manage profitability.
Core responsibilities
Responsible for managing growth in broking business for the bank and delivery of numbers basis the defined metrics.
Managing tie ups with broking firms and design processes to onboard new and existing customers for broking
Product management of broking business, which include deepening the penetration of broking accounts, customer activation and revenue in association with broking partners
Work closely with broking partners including undertaking ideation, due diligence, commercial negotiations and marketing events to increase the broking business for the bank
Handling and managing digital account opening journeys and customer life cycle in equity investment, customer retention, increase in transaction, broking margin and trading.
Undertaking periodic analysis of broking business and to update management and share stake holders on aspects on business performance, competitive mapping and intelligence
Foster proactive and productive relationships with channels within the bank and Cultivate relationships with key heads and IC’s in different regions of affluent and retail banking
Ensuring frictionless sourcing, launch and support onboard of new customers for broking business using the existing infrastructure of bank and partners.
Knowledge and capability building of ICs and relationship managers and manage internal stake holders to increase awareness, benefits and recall on broking accounts
Devise national level campaigns, contests, R&R and drives in view of mid term and long term strategy.
Engage with broking partners to launch new initiatives and enablers to support the sourcing teams across geographies and channels and to deepen relationships on broking accounts
Adhere to compliance related aspects and ensure adherence at Bank level Business Development & Operational Excellence
Manage relationship with channel teams, across levels to enhance sales of broking accounts through product, event and campaign support.
Streamline process and make it friction free for seamless onboarding of new clients for broking
Liaise with marketing /legal / compliance/ operations for process/ documentation related aspects
Ensure delivery of key metric dashboards and business performance to sourcing channels
Technical Experience
Strong product knowledge Equity, derivatives, broking margin and leveraged products
Good understanding of Capital Markets
Prior experience of selling broking accounts
Process orientation
Strong analytical skills, Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power point
Non-technical Experience
Team player
Good interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills
Willing to coach, support and work as a team with marketing staff and other product arms of the bank in achieving sales target
Ability to understand clients/ stake holder requirements
Education al / Professional Qualification
Post graduate in Marketing/Finance
Strong domain knowledge with in-depth understanding of Capital Markets, with process orientation, collaborative and team management skills
Work Experience (in yrs.) - 10 years and above
