Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced, energetic, and unstoppable Product Management Lead to be the first product manager in our newly launched Hyderabad office!
You’ll lead our expansion efforts in India, working closely with engineering, analytics, banking, operations, marketing, and public relations to build, launch, scale, and grow products for the Indian market. And as the Hyderabad office grows and matures, you’ll play a key role in the office leadership team to recruit, hire, and lead a talented team on the ground in India.
This role requires deep knowledge and experience with the payments/banking/fintech industry in India coupled with high levels of ownership, leadership, resourcefulness, and a strong drive to roll-up the sleeves to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
What You’ll Do:
• Get your hands dirty: Be the first PM on the ground in Hyderabad. Roll-up the sleeves, get into the details, write the specs/requirements, run the sprints, and do whatever it takes to launch things quickly.
• Own the strategy & roadmap for India: Strengthen product-market fit to grow our existing products and identify opportunities to expand by launching new products and features
• Define the KPIs: How do we define product-market fit? What’s a healthy growth rate for India? How do we prioritise new opportunities?
• Market research & analysis: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to understand market trends, customer pain points, and competitive positioning.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering, analytics, banking, compliance, marketing, and ops teams to drive alignment on problems, opportunities, and priorities.
• Cross-team influence: We operate in a global-regional structure with regional teams customising, localising, and building the necessary integrations to launch global products in every region. This requires exceptionally strong skills in communication, collaboration, and influence.
• Hire a high performing team of PMs: We’re growing fast in India and we’ll need a team of star PMs in Hyderabad to drive that growth.
Qualifications
• 8+ years experience in the payments/banking/fintech industries in India - you’ve shipped payments/banking/fintech products in India and you have a deep understanding of the licensing/regulatory landscape
• Analytical mindset - you are highly data-driven and comfortable gathering your own data/analytics to inform decision-making and to measure the effectiveness of launches and campaigns
• Collaborative problem solver - you are resourceful, influential, and highly effective collaborating across teams to solve the most difficult problems
• Customer obsession - you deeply understand customer needs, pain points, and behaviors through market research, customer feedback, and data analysis
• Strategic thinker that gets things done - you balance strategic thinking with a high willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
